Gray received at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Elio Rodriguez Perdomo, who is on an official visit to the West African country.
Monrovia, January 25, 2023 - Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Liberia Jeanine Cooper and the Mayor of the city of Monrovia Jefferson T. Koijee.
In a cordial atmosphere they exchanged on various aspects of interest in order to strengthen bilateral relations. The Cuban diplomat also talked about ideas on the work with the community and mainly the youth.

Liberia, September 15, 2022- On Thursday afternoon, the Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, signed the official book of condolences, opened at the Embassy of Great Britain in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Cuban diplomat expressed heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family, the British government and people, on behalf of the Cuban government and people.
Her Majesty Elizabeth II passed away on September 8, 2022.
Monrovia, August 5, 2022 - Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera held a cordial exchange with the President of the University of Liberia, Prof. Dr. Julius Julukon Sarwolo Nelson, Jr.
The occasion was propitious to discuss projects of bilateral interest and explore ways to promote academic ties.
During the meeting, both parties ratified their willingness to work towards strengthening bilateral relations in the field of education.

With the presence of the presidents of Nigeria, Guinea Bissau, and Gambia, the official program in commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the independence of Liberia took place at the Centennial Memorial Pavilion.
