Cambodian media ready to denounce actions against Cuba
Cambodian Information Minister Khieu Kanharith said on Wednesday that his country's publications are at the disposal of Cuba to spread the truth about the recent actions that took place on the island. Along with executives from the main local mass media, Kanharith received Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia Liurka Rodriguez, who explained the genesis of the situation created in the Caribbean nation. The diplomat denounced the intense political-communication operation deployed by biggest media corporations and their virtual platforms, financed by the United States Government.

Cambodia said No to the US blockade against Cuba
On 23 June 2021, H.E. Mr. Ke Sovann, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Nation, attended the UNGA 85th plenary meeting and delivered a statement on explanation of vote after the vote on the draft resolution A/75/L.97 entitled “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba”, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

On the occasion of the 85th birthday of Her Majesty The Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, the Embassy of Cuba in Cambodia extended its deepest wishes of happiness, peace and longevity to Her Majesty. Through her twitter account, the Cuban ambassador Liurka Rodríguez made public her recognition of Her Majesty, with whom she met the previous year, during a visit with the accredited ladies ambassadors in Phnom Penh. Likewise, another important moment was recalled in which representatives of the diplomatic mission of Havana toured the library in honor of the Queen Mother, which also has Cuban documents.
