Cuban leaders congratulate Cambodia on independence anniversary
Cuba's top leaders on Tuesday contratulated their counterparts in Cambodia on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the country's independence. In a message to the King of Cambodia, Norodom Sihamoni, Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and Cuban president, ratified the commitment to continue working together to improve bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation.

The President of the Republic of Cuba H.E. Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez extended a message of congratulations to His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia on the auspicious occasion of the celebration of the National Independence Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia. After more than 60 years of diplomatic relations, Cuba and Cambodia continue to strengthen ties in different areas of cooperation. Cuba offers scholarships to study medicine to young Cambodians.
Southeast Asian parties and organizations ratify their support for the Cuban Revolution
The virtual meeting "Cuba will win" brought together leaders of political parties, representatives of international organizations, academics, social communicators, graduates of Cuban universities and the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Timor Leste. The Cambodian delegation was integrated by H.E. Mr. Kem Sambath, Vice President of External Relations Commission of the CPP Central Committee.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Phnom Penh, Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, held a brief exchange with the Vice Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia, Prak Sokhonn. The Caribbean diplomat took the opportunity to thank the leader for his support for the noble causes defended by the Greater Antilles, whose outgoing vocation has also reached the Asian kingdom. Sokhonn, also head of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Cambodian People's Party ratified the position of accompanying the Island, side by side, while pondering the historical ties that unite both nations, despite the geographical distance.
