Undersecretary of State from Ministry of Cult and religion received the Ambassador of Cuba in Cambodia
The Cuban ambassador to Cambodia, Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, was received by Min Chandyneth, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Worship and Religion of Cambodia, along with other senior executives in the field. During the cordial meeting, the diplomat demonstrated, with strong arguments, that the Cuban State recognizes, guarantees and respects religious freedom. Likewise, he lashed out at attempts to defame the politics of the Caribbean island, in campaigns orchestrated by the United States government, whose economic, financial and commercial blockade also affects Cuban religious institutions and their members.
Cambodian graduates in Cuba express solidarity with the Caribbean island

Cuban Ambassador speaks highly of friendship with Cambodia
Cuban Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Ms. Liurka Rodríguez Barrios has reiterated the cooperation, friendship and diplomatic relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Kingdom Cambodia established since April 15, 1960. In her interview with the National Television of Cambodia (TVK) this morning, H.E. Ms. Liurka Rodríguez Barrios said these relationships have passed all tests. “Even geographical distance has not been an impediment. These ties have been one of the legacies of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, and King Norodom Sihanouk. Both were also founders of the Non-Aligned Movement and their ideas of progress, peace and justice contributed to mutual respect and admiration,” she said.
Cambodian media ready to denounce actions against Cuba
Cambodian Information Minister Khieu Kanharith said on Wednesday that his country's publications are at the disposal of Cuba to spread the truth about the recent actions that took place on the island. Along with executives from the main local mass media, Kanharith received Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia Liurka Rodriguez, who explained the genesis of the situation created in the Caribbean nation. The diplomat denounced the intense political-communication operation deployed by biggest media corporations and their virtual platforms, financed by the United States Government.
