Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participates in Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations

Our country paraded with an authentic Cuban float with the colors of our flag, the presence of national attributes and of students from the dance school of Cuban choreographer José Angel Carret, who wore traditional costumes with the colors of our national flag, at this great celebration where Latinos came out to celebrate their roots, identity and culture.

Celebration of the 63rd Anniversary of the CDRs in Montreal

A lively activity was held at the Consulate General of Cuba in Montreal to commemorate the 63rd Anniversary of the CDRs. 

 

The occasion contributed to highlighting our festive traditions and to interacting with members of the Cuban community living in Montreal and the staff of the Consulate General of Cuba in Montreal. It was a moment of shared joy, in which children played a leading role painting the Cuban royal palm and playing with the typical piñata.

 

EmbacubaCanada members meet with Canada-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group

Ambassador Hector Igarza held a pleasant meeting with members of the Canada-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, led by the Honourable Senator Nancy J. Hartling and the Member of Parliament, Gabriel Ste-Marie, both co-chairs of the Parliamentary Group. The Cuban side was also represented by the Deputy Head of Mission, Dany Tur; the Economic and Commercial Counselor, Isaylin Cabañas, and the Press and Cultural Attaché, Aileén Carmenaty.

 

Cuban Consulate in Toronto participates in the opening of the Toronto Latin American Film Festival.

With the presence of members of the Latin American consular corps, this important event of the seventh art was inaugurated.  The evening included the presentation of feature and short films that celluloid lovers will be able to enjoy for three weekends during the month of October.

With a variety of options from different filmmakers, Cuba will have its space with the feature film "El Mayor" by director Rigoberto López.
