Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in Quebec.

The Consul General of Cuba in Montreal, Susana Malmierca Benítez, along with other members of the diplomatic corps, participated in a cultural activity in the city of Boucherville, in celebration of Hispanic and Latin American heritage in Quebec, Canada.

 

In coordination with the Hispanic and Latin American Association of Boucherville, the event helped to promote the culture, tradition, gastronomy and tourism of the people of the region.

 

Consul General of Cuba in Montreal held a meeting at Concordia University.

Susana Malmierca, Consul General of Cuba in Montreal, held a cordial meeting with William Cheaib, Chief of Staff and Associate Vice-Rector for International Relations at Concordia University.

 

During the meeting, topics of common interest for the academic center visited and the Cuban universities were discussed. The possibility of future projects that will allow the exchange of university students and collaboration in specific areas was positively valued.

 

Cuban culture present in Toronto, thanks to visual artist Michel Johnson.

The young Cuban visual artist Michel Johnson exhibited his work "The Ivory Tower" for a whole week at the Meridian Arts Centre in Toronto.

 

This important exhibition reflects all the talent, passion and dedication of the visual artist and dancers of the National Ballet of Cuba, being impossible to be indifferent to it.

 

The inauguration was held in the presence of Jose Angel Carret, important Cuban dancer and choreographer, the president of the Canadian-Cuban Friendship Association, Elizabeth Hill, and members of the Cuban Consulate General in this city.
