Cuban culture present in Toronto, thanks to visual artist Michel Johnson.

The young Cuban visual artist Michel Johnson exhibited his work "The Ivory Tower" for a whole week at the Meridian Arts Centre in Toronto.

 

This important exhibition reflects all the talent, passion and dedication of the visual artist and dancers of the National Ballet of Cuba, being impossible to be indifferent to it.

 

The inauguration was held in the presence of Jose Angel Carret, important Cuban dancer and choreographer, the president of the Canadian-Cuban Friendship Association, Elizabeth Hill, and members of the Cuban Consulate General in this city.

Cuba makes its presence felt in Saint Sauveur, Quebec.

This weekend, the 18th edition of the Authentic Cuban Fiesta took place in the city of Saint Sauveur. After two years of interruption, due to Covid-19, the event arrived with new energy, attracting the faithful followers of our culture and decorating the city of Saint Sauveur with Cuban flags.

 

Colors and shared joys characterized this event. Music, dances and Creole food contributed to promote Cuba as a destination.

 

Delegation of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC) participates in the thirteenth Convention of the Canadian Union UFCW.

With a representation of the CTC, Cuba was present at the thirteenth Convention of the Canadian Trade Union UFCW, held at the Convention Centre of the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, in the City of Toronto.

 

The Cuban delegation was made up of the general secretaries of the national trade unions of the Commerce, Gastronomy and Services; Hotel and Tourism; and Food Industry and Fisheries; and an official from International Relations of the national CTC.

 

The Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participates in the closing of the XI Teade Canada 2022 International dance event.

Members of the Consulate and the Juan Gualberto Gómez Association of Cubans enjoyed a beautiful evening during the closing of the XI Teade Canada 2022 International dance event organised by the company Danza Corpus directed by Cuban resident José Ángel Carret.

 

The performances were masterfully interpreted by students of the company, professional dancers and winners of international awards in this branch of the art.

 

Launch of the Authentic Cuban Fiesta in Saint Sauver

Ottawa, August 22, 2022. Hosted by the Saint Sauver Chamber of Commerce, a press conference was held for the launch of the Authentic Cuban Fiesta that will take place in early September in this city. With the presence of the Ambassador Héctor Igarza, the Tourism Counsellor Michel Bernal and the Consul General Susanna Malmierca, the main attractions of the event were announced, which will be a showcase to show the Destination Cuba in all its amplitude.
