General Consul of Cuba in Toronto holds meeting to expand the promotion of the Cuban culture in Canada.
Ottawa, March 31, 2022.- The General Consul of Cuba in Toronto held a fruitful meeting with Oscar Vigil, executive director of the Hispanic Canadian Heritage Council (HCHC) and Sophie Giraud, promoter of Cuban artists in Toronto.
The meeting laid the groundwork for future cultural projects that include visits by Cuban artists, such as writers and musicians to the city of Toronto during the year 2022 and, especially, during the Hispanic Heritage Month, to be held in October.
Building bridges of love from Canada.
Ottawa, March 28, 2022 - Several Canadian cities were once again the scene of the Bridges of Love initiative on the last weekend of March. On this occasion, Cuban residents and friends of solidarity took as a stage the cities of Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg to express their support for Cuba and join the worldwide call for an end to the U.S. blockade against the island, which also affects third countries.
Intense day of friendship and solidarity with Cuba from Montreal.
Ottawa, March 26th - This Saturday, the first of two containers of medical supplies for Cuba was closed in the city of Montreal. The initiative was promoted by the association Cuban Community in Canada and friends of the Table de concertation de solidarité Québec - Cuba. Members of the General Consulate also participated in the event.
In a day of camaraderie and united work, the condemnation of the unjust economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the U.S. government on Cuba was ratified, as well as the unconditional support of the participants to our country.
Consultation process and discussion of the Code of Families from the General Consulate of Cuba in Montreal.
Ottawa, March 24 - At the General Consulate of Cuba in Montreal was held the process of consultation and discussion of the draft Code of Families.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the fundamental aspects of the project and to express criteria that will contribute to the enrichment of the Code, through various points of view.
The debate evidenced the consensus of the participants on the modern and inclusive character of this document, which is representative of Cuban society today.
