Canadian union supports Nobel Prize for Cuban doctors

Ottawa, Aug 23 (Prensa Latina) The Canadian Postal Workers Union (CUPW) supports the call to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Cuban doctors, highlighting the humanitarian work of the island's medical brigades.

The organization, made up of over 55 thousand members, highlighted in a statement that for six decades the medical brigades of the Antillean nation have provided care to some of the most marginalized, with an altruistic humanity.

In particular, the CUPW recognized the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics, created in 2005 by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

Resumption of in-person consular services by prior appointment at the General Consulate of Cuba in Toronto

Toronto, July 28, 2020.- In view of the evolution of the epidemiological situation by COVID19 in the province of Ontario and the adoption of measures by the provincial government to resume a group of activities, the General Consulate of Cuba in Toronto informs that, starting Tuesday, August 4, in-person consular procedures will be gradually resumed, by the prior appointment of those interested.

Ottawa, June 29, 2020 - The Cuban Embassy informs that, in view of the evolution of the epidemiological situation by COVID19 in the province of Ontario and the adoption of measures by the provincial government to resume a group of activities, starting Tuesday, July 7, consular procedures will be gradually resumed in our Consular Office in Ottawa, by the appointment of those interested.
