Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba was received by the Assistant Minister of International Organization Affairs of Liberia

Monrovia, March 10, 2020.- Today, the Assistant Minister for International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Hon. N. Yaba Freeman-Thompson received in her office the Cuban Chargé d'Affaires, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera. 

During the meeting both diplomats discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral interest for the benefit of strengthening the cooperative relations between both nations.

Vice President of Liberia exchanges with Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba.

Monrovia - The Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Ms. Jewel Cianeh Howard-Taylor, exchanged views with Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba, Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera. The theme that dominated the conversation was "Empowerment of the Mujer¨ and admiration for Cuban women.

The meeting took place in a very pleasant and fraternal atmosphere.

The Vice President of Liberia is the second highest executive officer in the Liberian government. She began her mandate on January 22, 2018.

Monrovia, March 7, 2020 - With a simple but sincere activity, the group that works at the Cuban Embassy in Liberia celebrated "International Women's Day".

The celebration began with the words of the Cuban Chargé d'Affaires Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, who explained the reality of Cuban women after the triumph of the Revolution and emphasized that the woman of the Greater Antilles is today the protagonist of the development of the country inside and outside the Island.

Monrovia, March 6, 2020 - Within the framework of the celebrations taking place in Liberia on the occasion of International Women's Day, Chargé d'Affaires Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera had the opportunity to exchange and talk with the Honorable Williametta Piso Saydee-Tarr, Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection.

Bushrod Island, March 4, 2020 - Today, Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera made a working visit to Oniyama Specialist and Teaching Hospital.

At said Clinic we have two pillars that we are proud of, the Cuban doctor Mercedes Banqueris, Specialist in Internal Medicine, and the laboratory technician Michael Mator, a Liberian who graduated in Cuba and is a member of the Liberia-Cuba Solidarity Association.

Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba holds exchange with Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Liberia.

Monrovia - The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Liberia, His Excellency Abdoulaye Doré, who is the Ambassador of Guinea in the country of Sub-Saharan Africa, held an exchange with the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera.

Cuban Chargé d'Affaires meets with Liberian officials from the America Division.

Monrovia - The Cuban Chargé d'Affaires in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martinez, held a fruitful exchange with officials of the Americas Department of the Liberian Foreign Ministry in order to continue strengthening bilateral relations.

The meeting took place in the offices of the aforementioned ministerial division and was held in a cordial and fraternal atmosphere.
