Cuba and Malaysia exchange on their interparliamentary relations.

Kuala Lumpur, June 9—The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Yadira Ledesma Hernández, met with the Chairman of the Special Select Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Malaysian Parliament, the Honorable Wong Chen.

The occasion was an opportune moment to discuss the historic ties of friendship between the two countries, which celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.

The Cuban ambassador commented on the intense legislative work being carried out by the Cuban parliament to provide the country with greater institutionalization.

Secretary for Relations with the Vatican States in Cuba

Havana, 3 June 2025._ The Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations of the Holy See, Paul Richard, arrived in Cuba for an official visit, within the framework of the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Upon his arrival at Havana's José Martí International Airport, he was received by the Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elio Rodríguez, the head of the Office of Religious Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Caridad Diego Bello, and the Apostolic Nuncio Antoine Camilleri.

Cuba participated in Diplomatic Training Course sponsored by the Malaysian Foreign Ministry.

Kuala Lumpur, June 4, 2025. As part of the Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) Courses, offered jointly by the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs, the young Cuban diplomat Nathaly Osorio Ricardo participated in the Diplomatic Training Course that concluded today in this capital.

Cuba-Malaysia Friendship Association holds its Annual General Assembly

Kuala Lumpur, June 1, 2025. The Friends of Cuba Association in Malaysia, (FOCA) held its Annual General Assembly and the election of its new leadership.

The meeting took place at the Cuban Residence in Kuala Lumpur, and it was a pleasure to witness the election of Cuban medical graduates as the new leadership of the Association.

Yadira Ledesma Hernández, Cuban ambassador and honorary member of the Association, recognized the work carried out by the Association in supporting the promotion of friendly, commercial, and cultural relations between the two countries.

The Cuban Embassy participates in the adoption of the ASEAN Community's Vision 2045

Kuala Lumpur, May 26, 2025. Within the framework of the 46th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, it was an interesting experience for Cuban diplomatic representatives in this city, to participate in the adoption of the ASEAN Community's Declaration or Vision for 2045, entitled "Our Shared Future."

Tribute to José Martí in the Philippines

Manila, May 16, 2015. At the José Martí monument in Manila, Philippines, the solidarity friends of the Philippines-Cuba Friendship Society (PCFS), along with Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma Hernández, paid tribute to Cuba's national hero and laid a wreath, on the eve of the commemoration of the 130th anniversary of the death in combat of this great Cuban intellectual and patriot.

The monument is a sculpture by Cuban artist Lescay, which was donated to the city on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Apostle's birth.

Cuban Ambassador Presents Letters of Credence to the Republic of the Philippines

Manila, May 15, 2025. In a solemn ceremony held at Malacañang Palace, Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma Hernández presented to the President, His Excellency Mr. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., the Letters of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of the Philippines.

Following the official ceremony of the presentation of the Letters of Credence, attended by the Secretary for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Enrique A. Manalo, a wreath was laid to the Philippine national hero, José Rizal.
