Ambassador exchanges with members of the Finland-Cuba academic agreement

The Cuban Ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, held an exchange with protagonists of the Finland-Cuba academic agreement. The "Iris" project directed by Professor Jyrki Luukkanen has deployed intense research for more than 4 years focused on the use of natural renewable resources. During the exchange, the academic presented multiple models found to generate renewable energy in Cuba, focused on the urgency of modifying its energy matrix.

President of Finland receives the Ambassador of Cuba

The President of the Republic of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, met this Wednesday with the Cuban ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, at his residence in this capital. During the meeting, the president was interested in learning about what is happening in the industrial zone of Matanzas, and highlighted the progress made by Cuba in the biotechnology, during the confrontation with the COVID-19 pandemic. He also referred to issues on the bilateral and global agenda, and signified the traditional interest of Finnish tourism in the Greater Antilles.
