His official visit to our country, in the midst of the electro-energy situation and the confrontation with the damage caused by Hurricane Oscar in the province of Guantánamo, constitutes another example of the deep and historical solidarity of the Namibian people and authorities with our Homeland; ties forged in the common struggles of our people and in a close friendship between Fidel Castro and Sam Nujoma.

Cuban ambassador in Namibia denounced at a Press Conference in Windhoek the criminal and genocidal US blockade of Cuba

Ambassador Sergio Vigoa of the Uz offered a Press Conference with the main news media in Windhoek, to publicize a summary of Cuba's Report under Resolution 78/7 of the United Nations General Assembly entitled “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.”

Cuba has the political will to continue expanding, strengthening and consolidating relations with Namibia

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received Mr. Lukas Sinimbo Muha, Chairperson of the National Council of Namibia, at the Palace of the Revolution.

During the exchange, the Cuban president highlighted the close and historic bilateral relations, forged since the fight against apartheid and for the independence of Namibia. He especially underlined the great affection that both peoples have and assured that Namibia can continue to count on Cuba always.

Cuba and Namibia strengthen judicial ties

“Namibia and Cuba share a deep connection that goes beyond mere diplomacy,” said Namibian Chief Justice Peter Sam Shivute as he welcomed his Cuban counterpart, Dr. Ruben Remigio Ferro, to the African nation.

Speaking during the official visit of the President of the Supreme People’s Tribunal of Cuba (TSP) to the Supreme Court of Namibia in Windhoek, Judge Shivute said the collaboration between the two nations is rooted in solidarity and the sacrifices made by the Cuban people during Namibia’s long and difficult struggle for independence.
