Ambassador:  As Cuban diplomats, we truly feel great pride in being in this country, which constantly shows us its infinite love and gratitude for what Cuba, modestly, contributed to the struggle for the liberation of Namibia.
 

Special Meeting with Cuban Collaborators

Cuban Doctors in Namibia, pride of the Nation

On February 4th, 2021, the Government of Namibia ratified its proposal to nominate the “Henry Reeve” Cuban International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics, for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.

In a statement from the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, President Hage Geingob's administration stated: "This nomination is rooted in recognition of the extensive work of the Cuban brigades in exporting Cuba's medical talent for the benefit of all communities around the world.

Cuba and Namibia consolidate diplomatic relations

Ambassador Sergio Vigoa de la Uz paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of International Relations and Trade, H.E. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, in which they agreed to develop economic collaboration at the level of political and diplomatic relations.

During the meeting, the diplomat expressed his gratitude for Namibia's continued support of the Cuban people in the regional and international arena, its rejection of the United States' economic, commercial, and financial blockade against Cuba, and its inclusion on the list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism.

Successful Visit to Namibia by Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz

The member of the Political Bureau and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz arrived in Namibia to attend the inauguration ceremony of new President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, an event that coincided with the celebrations for the country's 35th anniversary of independence and the establishment of diplomatic relations, which took place on March 21, 1990.

The public radio and television company of Namibia, Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), published this weekend extensive and substantial material on the recent visit to Cuba of the President of this African nation, H.E. Dr. Nangolo Mbumba.

In a stellar space on the channel, the Namibian public received extensive information about this visit, cataloged by President Mbumba as "the highest honor I have received in my entire life", for which he thanked "the warm welcome."
