Awards for Cuban Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe on Latin American Medicine Day

Harare, December 1, 2025 – Members of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe, who have participated in several internationalist missions, were honored with high-level awards in a solemn and moving ceremony at the Cuban Embassy in Harare, on the occasion of Latin American Medicine Day.

In the presentation of these awards, the first time they have been given abroad, a doctor received the 50th Anniversary Seal of the National Union of Health Workers from Ambassador Susellys Pérez Mesa, in recognition of her outstanding and uninterrupted service spanning five decades.

Fidel's legacy honored in Toronto

The Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto held a tribute to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, on the ninth anniversary of his physical passing.

Present at the event were members of various solidarity organizations with Cuba: the Canadian Network on Cuba, CCFA-Toronto, Toronto Forum on Cuba, Frente Hugo Chávez, and the Círculo Bolivariano Luis Riel.

Attendees included members of the Communist Party of Canada and the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist).

Head of Cuban Diplomatic Mission Bids Farewell to New Zimbabwean Ambassador-designate to the Island

Harare, November 29, 2025 - The Ambassador of Cuba, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, bid farewell today to the new Head of the Zimbabwean Diplomatic Mission-designate to the Caribbean island, His Excellency Ronald Mutasa.

The meeting between the two provided an opportunity to review bilateral priorities for the coming year and acknowledge the progress made in 2025, with a high level of visits and exchanges, which strengthen the foundation for continued work on projects of common interest, as well as the legal basis for other initiatives.

Tribute to Fidel Castro at the Cuban Embassy in Zimbabwe

The moving tribute to the man whose example of dignity, social justice, independence, and sovereignty served to reaffirm the enduring relevance of his work and thought in defending the revolutionary project in the face of adversity.

Altruistic Solidarity from Zimbabwe to Cuba After Hurricane Melissa

Harare, November 20, 2025 – Solidarity and altruism have been the hallmarks of donations from Zimbabwe to Cuba following the powerful Hurricane Melissa's passage through the eastern part of the Caribbean nation.

A businessman who is a friend of the island, members of the Cuban diplomatic mission, and collaborators in higher education, as well as a Cuban resident in the African nation, contributed resources for the delivery of medicines and medical equipment.

Prensa Latina news agency launches column highlighting Cuba–Việt Nam fraternity

The online newspaper of Cuba’s Prensa Latina news agency has officially launched a column entitled “Cuba–Việt Nam: 65 Years of Fraternity” to mark the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries (December 2, 1960 – 2025). 

The column features articles and photos on high-level bilateral visits by Party and State leaders, as well as people-to-people exchange activities that illustrate the faithful and loyal friendship between the two nations.

Resilient and ready: Cuba aims to attract 1 million Canadians in 2026

Cuba’s Minister of Tourism, the Honourable Juan Carlos García Granda, arrived in Toronto Wednesday (November 12) with a clear message for Canadian travel partners: the island is open, ready, and deeply grateful for Canada’s unwavering support.

Speaking to the Canadian travel trade ahead of an industry event for 150 travel advisors and suppliers in Toronto, the Minister provided an update on the country’s swift recovery from Hurricane Melissa, one of the strongest storms to impact Cuba in recent years.

Book detailing historic development of relations between Vietnam–Cuba launched in Hanoi

A book on Vietnam–Cuba relations was launched in Hanoi on November 12, as part of activities marking the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries (December 2, 1960 – December 2, 2025). The book, entitled "65 Years of Fostering the Exemplary and Loyal Friendship between Vietnam and Cuba", was jointly compiled and published by the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House and the Embassy of Cuba in Vietnam. It offers a rich and vivid reflection of the historical milestones that have nurtured the rare and exemplary bond of solidarity between the two nations – a symbol of the era and a priceless legacy of their Parties and peoples.
