Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, yesterday afternoon, February 21, received a delegation from the United States Congress, led by Senators Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont) and Thad Cochran (R-Mississippi), including as well Senators Thomas Udall (D-New Mexico) and Michael Bennett (D-Colorado), Representatives James McGovern and Seth Moulton, Democrats from Massachusetts, as well as Jeffrey DeLaurentis, acting chargé d'affaires at the U.S. embassy in Cuba.
New Delhi, February 21, 2017. The Deputy Minister of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India, (Additional Secretary) Mr. Sanjeeva Kumar, received in the afternoon of this Tuesday the Cuban Ambassador Mr. Oscar Martínez Cordoves at the headquarters of his ministry.
In the cordial atmosphere, which characterizes the relations between both countries, the leaders exchanged on bilateral cooperation in the field of health and other issues of mutual interest. (Cubaminrex / Embacuba India).
Conductors of the program "Power", jointly produced by the Lebanese TV station Al-Mayadeen and the multinational TeleSur, interviewed the Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada in Tehran. The dialogue focused on the new challenges for Latin America and in particular for Cuba, in the current regional scenario.
In her welcome remarks, Alvarez Núñez thanked the audience for accepting her invitation, subsequent to which she enumerated the successes and hurdles her beloved country, Cuba, faced during the course of 2016. Ambassador Soraya Alvarez Núñez also paid homage to the departed leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
