Cuban leaders extend condolences to Vietnam over losses caused by typhoon

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel has cabled his deepest condolences to the Party, Government and people of Vietnam over human and property losses caused by super typhoon Yagi.

Through his X account, the President conveyed all the solidarity of the Caribbean nation to the Southeast Asian country in these difficult times.

President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernández also expressed his condolences to the families of victims.

VOV signs new cooperation agreement with Cuban partner

Deputy General Director of Radio The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Pham Manh Hung and President of the Cuban Institute of Information and Social Communication (ICS) Alfonso Noya Martínez signed a new bilateral cooperation agreement, as part of the Vietnamese official's working trip to Cuba from September 4-7.

At their earlier talks, the two officials affirmed the importance of enhancing cooperation in the free-of-charge exchange of news, information, digital content, and radio and television programmes relating to culture, history, music and tourism. It is set to broaden and deepen the mutual understanding, friendship, and knowledge between the people of Vietnam and Cuba.

Da Nang looks to boosting cooperation with Cuban localities

Chairman of the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh had a working session with Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Hernández Guillén in the central coastal city on September 6.

Expressing his delight at the sound growth of the Vietnam-Cuba traditional friendship, Chinh said that Da Nang always values the development of its multifaceted cooperation with Cuban localities with appreciation for support given by the Cuban Party, State, and people for Vietnam in many periods.

Cuba newspaper heaps praise on President Ho Chi Minh

The Granma daily, the newspaper of the Communist Party of Cuba, recently published an article on great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the national liberation cause of Vietnam and the world, on the occasion of 55th anniversary of his testament (September 2, 1969-2024).

The article “Ho Chi Minh with an open heart” started with quotations from a poem by Cuban great poet Nicolas Guillen (1902-1989) about President Ho Chi Minh, describing the Vietnamese leader as a man with an open heart.

Cuban leaders congratulate Vietnam on 79th National Day

On the occasion of the 79th National Day of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - 2024), leaders of Cuba have sent congratulations to Vietnam's Party and State leaders.

It is a deliberate act of economic warfare, which has been reinforced by the arbitrary inclusion of the Antillean nation on the State Department's unilateral list of alleged countries sponsoring terrorism.
