Vice-President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce receives the Secretary General of AKEL.

The Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba, Tania Aguiar Fernández received Mr. Stefanos Stefanou, Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL).

At the meeting, the bilateral issues and the bilateral work being carried out with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry were reviewed, based on the cooperation agreement between the two institutions. 

In addition, possible actions to be taken to boost the development of trade between Cuba and Cyprus were analysed.

The Cuban Ambassador paid a courtesy visit to the new Minister of Defence.

The Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, held a courtesy meeting with the new Minister of Defence, Mr. Vasilis Palmas.

At the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the appointment of Mr. Palmas as the new Minister of Defence and exchanged on the current national and international challenges and the need to preserve international peace.

New Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus receives Cuban Ambassador.

The Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, was received on the morning of May 7, by the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Andreas K. Kakouris.

At the meeting, both sides acknowledged the historic ties of friendship between the peoples and governments of Cuba and Cyprus and exchanged on possible politico-cultural actions to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the excellent bilateral relations next year. 

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba receives the Secretary General of AKEL.

The Deputy Minister, Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo received the Secretary General of the Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL), Stefanous Stefanou, on the afternoon of May 6, at the headquarters of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

During the fraternal meeting, both parties ratified the interest in continuing to strengthen the positive ties between Cuba and Cyprus, which will celebrate 65 years of diplomatic relations in 2025.
