Elected Cuba, for the fifth time, member of the United Nations Human Rights Council
Cuba was elected to the Human Rights Council of the United Nations, a body made up of 47 member states, responsible for the promotion and protection of all human rights in the world. Founding member of the Council that deposed the former Commission on Human Rights, this is the fifth time that Cuba occupies a seat on this body, among the 8 reserved for the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States.

Copenhagen, September 22, 2020. The Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Roger López García, presented the strategy of the country's authorities to mobilize the capacities of the national health system in the face of Covid -19.
The Cuban representative detailed the work carried out to contain the spread of the pandemic and explained that the success achieved lies in the strengths of the national health system, which has a network of primary healthcare assistance for the population, together with the capabilities of science, technology and innovation in the present stage.
