Collaboration projects between Cuba and Ethiopia go forward
Addis Ababa, March 3, 2021. Executives of the Business Group of the Ministry of Education of Cuba (known as GE-MINED) and the CEO of the Educational Materials Production and Distribution Enterprise of Ethiopia (EMPDE), sustained a fruitful virtual meeting, where they assessed the potentialities of collaboration between both countries in the educational sector.
The Victory of Karramara, part of the internationalist epic of Cuba in Africa, is commemorated in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, March 5, 2021. The 43th Anniversary of the Victory in the Ogaden War, which is known in Ethiopia as the Karramara Victory, was commemorated today in this city. The event took place at the Ethio-Cuban Friendship Park, in the heart of Addis Ababa, and was attended by friends of Cuba, Cuban diplomat staff, Ethiopian heroes and generals of that campaign, Ethiopian martyrs´ relatives, representatives of the ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia and the Secretary General of the House of the People´s Representatives, Dr Mesrak Mekonnen.

Mrs Vilma Thomas Ramírez, offered an interview to the Ethiopian channel ETV, before the celebration of the 43 Anniversary of the victory in the Ogaden war of the Ethiopian and Cuban troops, which is known in this country as the Karramara Victory.

African Union against the US blockade on Cuba
Addis Ababa, February 7, 2021. The 34 Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of Africa passed a "Resolution on the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the Republic of Cuba by the United States of America".
By twelve consecutive occasions, the African Union has expressed its rejection to the sanctions on Cuba, as a demonstration of the unanimous position of the regional block on the matter. All UN African Member States support the United Nation Resolution against the blockade.
