Cuba and Fiji exchange on issues of common interest in the multilateral arena
Suva, February 11. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Fiji, Carlos Manuel Rojas Lago received Mr. Peter Emberson, director of Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country. In the helpful meeting, both discussed extensively on issues of common interest in the multilateral arena and assessed the development of the main aspects in bilateral ties.
Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Cuba rejects the pretexts of Bolivian putschist authorities to suspend diplomatic relations
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Plurinational State of Bolivia announced the decision of the putschist Government to suspend diplomatic relations with the Republic of Cuba, claming that the Cuban Government has systematically affected bilateral relations and has been hostile towards the Bolivian authorities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba strongly rejects the unfounded allegations of Bolivia’s de facto government.
Official Announcement: 4th "Nation and Emigration" Conference
The “78 Dialogue”, promoted by the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz, represented the beginning of a continuous and irreversible rapprochement between Cuba and the Cuban community abroad; it has been strengthened with the passage of time and the holding of three “The Nation and Emigration” Conferences whose fundamental premise was synthesized by Fidel over 4 decades ago when he declared: “(…) the Community must be respected. The Community exists. The Community is a force and the Community is to be taken into account.”
Cuban President received the Prime Minister of Fiji
The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received the Honorable Josaia Voreque Bainimarama, Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji.
During the cordial meeting, both leaders exchanged about the good state of bilateral relations and the strengthening of economic and cooperation ties.
