Hispanic-American ambassadors in Finland share with MFA Chief of Protocol at the end of 2022
Helsinki.- December 16th, the group of Ibero-American Ambassadors accredited in Finland said goodbye to 2022 with the presence of the new Chief of Protocol of the Minister for Foreing Affairs, H.E. Mr Mika Koskinen. During the meeting, we learned about new measures that will contribute to the performance of the Diplomatic Corps in its functions. It was a pleasure to say goodbye to the year with such pleasant company and learning about the new projects that our group is planning for next year.
Cuba participated in the celebrations for the 105th Anniversary of the Independence of Finland
Cuba participated this December 6 in the celebrations for the 105th Anniversary of the Independence of Finland. Cuban Ambassador Beatriz Parra González greeted President Sauli Niniisto and his wife at the Official Ceremony, and shared greetings with Prime Minister Sanna Marin. The Cuban diplomat reiterated the greeting of President Miguel Díaz-Canel, on behalf of the Cuban people and government. During the day, the Caribbean representative also accompanied the religious ceremony offered in the Helsinki Cathedral, which the Finnish president also presided over.
Ambassador of Cuba highlights damages of the blockade to the country
In an interview with the prominent filmmaker Folke West, the Ambassador of Cuba in Finland, Beatriz Parra González, addressed the result of the recent votes at the UN against the embargo. Parra González referred to its impact on the daily life of Cubans and reiterated the need to put an end to this injustice, with more than six decades in application, mentioning some effects of its scope.
From Finland a tribute to Fidel
The Embassy of Cuba in Finland was the space this Saturday for the special evening dedicated to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the sixth anniversary of his physical disappearance. Fidel's legacy and his political significance, marked since the Moncada Assault and his plea "History will absolve me", was presented by the filmmaker Folke West, who introduced his audiovisual "Young Fidel", before the company of dear friends of Cuba in Finland and Cubans residing here.
Latvia present at the Regional Meeting of Cuban Residents
The guide and compass of Cubans residing in this Baltic country, Publio López, arrived in the German capital from Latvia to participate in the XIV Regional Meeting of Cubans residing in Europe. Compatriots from 16 countries participate in this meeting, and issues of interest to the Cuban community and others that hinder their relationship with our country are discussed, such as the United States blockade against Cuba, an obstacle to the bond of Cuban families.
