The President of Estonia, Alar Karis, received the Cuban Ambassador, Beatriz Parra, who presented him with the credential as concurrent representative to this Baltic country, and expressed his solidarity with the families affected in the Island by Hurricane Ian. After the formal act, Karis welcomed the Head of Mission with permanent headquarters in Helsinki, Finland, in a formal meeting in which she was interested in the progress of the recovery of the damage caused by the powerful Hurricane Ian, the diplomat said in communication with Prensa Latina.

The President of the Republic of Estonia, H.E. Mr. Alar Karis, received this Wednesday the Credentials of Beatriz Parra González, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in this Baltic country. As part of the ceremony, the Estonian president and the Cuban diplomat later held official talks. At the close of the meeting, President Alar Karis invited Ambassador Beatriz Parra González to sign the book of distinguished visitors. The Ambassador shared updated information on Cuba, the impact of the blockade, the anti-covid strategy, among other topics, while thanking the distinguished authorities in Estonia for the attention received.

The XI Finland-Cuba Solidarity Brigade condemned the US blockade

The XI Victoria de Girón Brigade, of the Finland-Cuba Friendship Association issued a statement condemning the United States Blockade against the people of Cuba, in the welcome exchange held this Wednesday, with the main authorities of the province of Las Tunas, at the headquarters of the branch of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP). The Head of the Brigade, Mr. Tomi Kuhanen, specified that in an already difficult context, marked by the world economic crisis, the scourge of the universal pandemic of Sars-Cov-2, the energy contingency and, more recently, the negative impact of Hurricane Ian, the United States continues to maintain the intensified measures of the economic, commercial and financial blockade against the Island and urged the US government to listen to the voice of the international community; while demanding an end to inhumane sanctions.

Ambassador of Cuba in Estonia presents Copies of Style

The Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, presented this Tuesday the Copies of Style, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia. The Copies were received by the Deputy Director and Director of the Division of Diplomatic Immunities and State Protocol, Urmas Eigla. In the exchange, the Ambassador was welcomed to the country, and learned about the procedure for the delivery of credentials to President Alar Karis, a ceremony scheduled for this visit.

Finland-Cuba solidarity brigade begins activities in the Greater Antilles

The Finland-Cuba solidarity brigade began activities this Friday in the Greater Antilles. A few hours after his arrival, he was received at the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), by Claudia Pérez Berlanga, a specialist from the Northern Europe group. During this day they toured the Fidel Castro Center and paid tribute to Camilo Cienfuegos, on the Anniversary of his Physical Disappearance, accompanying the traditional pilgrimage to the Havana boardwalk. Among other activities, this Saturday they shared with the director of the National Theater of Cuba, Neryda López, and enjoyed the staging of "Gisselle" by the Cuban National Ballet.
