Cuba and Colombia closer also from Finland
Ambassador Beatriz Parra González received H.E. Álvaro Sandoval Bernal, Ambassador of Colombia, whom she cordially welcomed to Finland. The meeting coincided with the announcement a few hours before, of the restart of the Peace Talks between the Government of Colombia and the ELN, in Havana. In a pleasant and affectionate exchange, the Caribbean diplomat reiterated the commitment expressed by Cuba and its authorities that she will make every effort for Peace in Colombia.
Cuba participates in exchange with NGOs leading programs against family violence in Finland
Cuba participated today in a meeting with the Federation of Mothers and Children, Homes and Shelters and visited the Hertta shelter, with members of the Diplomatic Corps. The Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, thanked the information offered on rehabilitation programs against domestic violence and was interested in knowing the impact on multicultural families present in Finland. Likewise, she offered to the authorities the interest of the Embassy in collaborating with the organization.
Cuba celebrates Women International Day from the Caribbean culture in Finland
In a special afternoon Cuban Embassy in this capital celebrated the International Women's Day, sharing a bit of Cuban culture from Finland. In an initiative prepared jointly with the "Baila Baila" dance school, a practical-theoretical workshop was held in which the main elements of Rumba, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha and Cuban son were revealed. A grateful opportunity for the ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, deputies and friends of Cuba who attended the event.
Ambassador of Cuba receives leaders of the Finnish Left Youth
Cuban Ambassador, Beatriz Parra González dialogued with Pinja Vuorinen and Ava Dahlvik, national leaders of the Finnish Left Youth. Both parts talked about Cuba and the impact of the embargo on its economy with direct effects on Cuba´s people. The young leaders agreed on the importance of the Family Code to grant more social rights in Cuba.
