Statement by Ambassador Rodolfo Benítez Verson at the Opening Plenary of the Conference on Disarmament
At the opening plenary session of the Conference on Disarmament, Ambassador Rodolfo Benítez emphasized that multilateralism, the Charter of the United Nations and international law are under direct attack. He warned that the United Nations disarmament machinery is being weakened and that a new arms race is taking shape in full view of the international community. He denounced that the Government of the United States is pushing the planet toward anarchy and bellicose chaos, imposing a permanent threat to international stability and security
