Cuba has a policy of zero tolerance for any contemporary form of slavery and any form of trafficking in persons, which is expressly prohibited by the Constitution of the Republic and other national laws. These are heinous crimes and a blatant violation of human rights, which our country firmly rejects.

Cuba supports the defence, recognition and effective and full implementation of the rights of indigenous peoples, in accordance with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, whose adoption in 2007 constituted a historic victory in the struggle of these peoples for their ancestral rights.
