The Cuban Foreign Minister congratulates his Ghanaian counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, has sent a congratulatory message to Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey on her appointment as Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana.

The message reaffirms the Cuban disposition to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation that unite our two peoples.

The new Ghanaian Foreign Minister assumed duty on 2nd February, 2017. 

Leaders of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) ratify historical ties between the peoples of Cuba and Ghana

A delegation of the executive of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), headed by its Secretary of Internationals Relations, Isaac Nyame Mensah, exchanged with the First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy, Julio César Sánchez, at the Embassy of Cuba.

During the meeting, the parties addressed aspects of the historical relations between the peoples of Ghana and Cuba. The Ghanaian student leaders reaffirmed their interest in deepening their ties with their counterparts in Cuba. 

The Cuban Ambassador holds meetings with Ghanaian graduates in Cuba

The Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, met in Kumasi with a representation of Ghanaians who attended university studies in Cuba.

During the fraternal exchange, the Ghanaians approached different moments of their life as students in Cuba, and ratified their bonds of solidarity with the greater of the Antilles.

The Cuban Ambassador transmits condolences to the Asante King

The Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, conveyed the sympathies of the Cuban people to the Asante King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on the occasion of the passed away of his mother, the Asantehemaa, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II.

During the greeting, the Ambassador exchanged with the King about the visit made to Cuba in 1986 by his predecessor, Otumfuo Nana Opoku Ware II. The current king thanked the condolences received and expressed his desire to also visit Cuba.
