Cuba reports five new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours
Havana, June 27, 2020 -- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were five new cases detected of COVID-19, for a total of 2,330 positive cases across the island.
Cuban foreign minister accuses U.S. of criminalizing international cooperation
Havana, June 27, 2020.- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez has accused the United States of criminalizing the international cooperation provided by the island to confront the COVID-19 pandemic.
"He is doing so for political reasons," Rodríguez said on his Twitter account, explaining that "the White House has no interest in humanism or solidarity."
"The U.S. government does not hesitate to damage the efforts of third countries in confronting the pandemic by attacking Cuba," he added in his tweet.
