Offers Cuba Ambassador to Greece press conference in Arta city.
Athens, 27 July. Cuba's ambassador to Greece Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina, on July 23, offered a press conference at the Arta Labor Center, a Greek city of the Epirus region. The conference was led by Vice President II, and Head of Culture, Lambrina Skorila.
This visit to the city and the activities carried out, during several days of an intense and fruitful work program, were organized by the Labor Center of Arta and Velisarios Kossivakis, director of New Star Art Cinema, friend of Cuba and promoter of the initiative to apply for the Nobel Prize for Cuban medical brigades, which was also present in the interview and explained extensively about the solidarity initiative , as well as on Cuba's solidarity work in several countries around the world historically ,and about the values of Cuba's socialist revolution.

In Greece was celebrated July 26 condemning US blockade towards Cuba and supporting Cuban medical brigades.
Athens, 22 July. The Hellenic Cuban Friendship Association organized an important event in the municipality of Elefsina, on the eve of the commemoration of July 26, the day of Cuban national rebellion. The solidarity event condemned the unjust US economic, commercial and financial blockade on Cuba and supported Cuban medical collaboration around the world.
Campaign to support Cuban doctors and against blockade in Greece
Athens, 20 July. An event was held for the presentation of the Greek Initiative to apply for the Nobel Peace Prize for the Henry Reeve brigade of Cuban doctors, at the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation, organized by Velissarios Kossivakis of Newstar Art Cinema. The Honorary Committee of 100 personalities supporting the initiative was presented within the more than 30 thousand signatories. The event was an important milestone in the campaign Cuba Yes, Blockade No, carried out by Greek solidarity friends.
It was published in Greece a new book on Cuba, in the Greek language. The third in less than a year.
The Greek publishing house (TOPOS) has just launched a new book on Cuba in Greece composed of more than 50 articles by different Greek and Cuban authors. It has 479 pages, as well as graphic and photographic material.
