Cubaminrex, 11 March 2021. On March 2, 2021, there was an exit from the country along the north coast of Villa Clara province, organized from the United States, using a rapid speedboat for human trafficking. The participants, all Cubans, including women and children, were taken by the traffickers to an inhospited and uninhabited cay from the salt bank in the Bahamas. From this fact, it was communicated in real-time by the Border Guard Troops of Cuba to the Coast Guard Service of the United States.
Statement of Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs in the 46th Session of the Human Rights Council.
Madame Chair,
The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the grave problems and colossal challenges human kind was already faced with and exposed new threats, including the frailty of health care systems. The promotion, protection and respect of the right to health are particularly relevant in the current context.
Statement by Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, at the Conference on Disarmament.
Mr. President;
The world’s situation is every day more dangerous and challenging. Now more than ever before, the very survival of the human species is at stake. International peace and security are being threatened by conflicts; predatory and non-conventional wars; acts of aggression and regime change attempts; and an arms race that is dilapidating enormous resources that are indispensable for the sustainable development of our peoples.
