South Asia Correspondents Club welcomes the Cuban Ambassador to India.

The South Asia Correspondents Club welcomed the Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas, in an interactive meeting with representatives of different media outlets in this country. In his welcoming remarks, Venkat Narayan, President of the institution, highlighted that Cuba is a country admired in India for its historical relations, the island's social achievements and its capacity for resistance.

Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of Cuba, received Nesamani Maran Muthu, president of the Hotels Group MGM Muthu , which already has more than seven thousand rooms in the Greater Antilles.
Through his Twitter account, the head of government reported that the visitor expressed his intention to expand the management of the group's hotels in the Archipelago, and invest in the creation of a water park.

Sports unites friends of Cuba in India on the occasion of the birthday of Fidel Castro.

On the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, the Cuban Embassy organized a soccer match, along with members of the Solidarity Committee in India and the diplomatic corps accredited in New Delhi. 

Among those present were the Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas; B. V. Raghavulu, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), diplomats from the Embassies of Venezuela, Argentina and Bolivia; as well as Indian youth and students.

Cuban delegation exchanged with Indian businessmen at a business forum organized by the Indian Economic and Trade Organization (IETO) in New Delhi, where business options and foreign investment in Cuba in the electronics industry, nickel, steel, electric vehicles and renewable energies were presented, as well as opportunities to develop economic projects of common interest and for the benefit of both countries.
