Cuban Folkloric Ensemble performs in the Indian capital.
The National Folkloric Ensemble of Cuba, which is visiting India, performed at the Bahai House of Worship auditorium at the Lotus Temple in New Delhi. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in India in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the Lotus Temple. The show titled "The Root and the Time", included different songs and dances representative of the tradition and cultural richness of the Cuban nation, dances referring to Yemayá, Elegbá, Ogún, as well as sones, boleros, rumbas, mambo, casino and conga.
Cuban Ambassador visits the Indian city of Ayodhya.
The Cuban Ambassador in India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, visited the city of Ayodhya in the state of Uttar Pradesh and participated in the traditional celebrations of Deepotsav, a festival that is part of the main annual Hindu event of Diwali. During the visit, organized by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, along with other members of the diplomatic corps, the Ambassador shared briefly with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath Yogi, to whom he conveyed Cuba's greetings of friendship.
