In the afternoon today (in Dublin) and in the morning in Havana, a virtual meeting was held between Irish and Cuban researchers, from the University College of Dublin (UCD) and the “Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology” of Cuba, (CIGB, for its acronym in Spanish), respectively.

During a ceremony held on April 20, at the University of Cork, on the occasion of the visit of the Cuban ambassador, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, was conclude the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Cooperation between the Irish Society for Latin American Studies of the University College of Cork and the Institute of Cuban History, represented by the Vice President of the University of Cork, Professor Stephen Byrne and Dr.
Cuban Ambassador to Ireland meets with Cubans residing in Cork.
Cork, Ireland, April 20, 2023. Cubans residing in the county of Cork, Ireland, met with the Cuban ambassador in this country, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, who travelled accompanied by the Counsellor for Consular Affairs, Mabel Rodríguez Morera. The meeting is part of the two-day visit program to this important Irish city.
During a pleasant meeting, the Cuban ambassador referred to the importance of strengthening, once the pandemic is over, the embassy's ties with Cubans residing in Ireland, in this case, with those from Cork.
