Fruitful virtual meeting between chambers of commerce and companies from Jamaica and Cuba

Yesterday, Wednesday, Antonio Luis Carricarte Corona and Lloyd Distant, presidents of the Chambers of Commerce of Cuba and Jamaica, respectively, held a virtual meeting to explore the possibilities of expanding bilateral trade of goods and services and investments.
The Ambassador of Cuba receives the UN Resident Coordinator in Jamaica
Kingston, Jamaica, 29 October 2020. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, yesterday received a courtesy call from Mr. Garry Conille, the new United Nations Resident Coordinator in Jamaica.
The Cuban diplomat and the UN representative briefly exchanged on issues of common interest, especially about the latter’s mission in such a significant organization.
Minister of Education of Jamaica meets with Cuban teachers
Kingston, Jamaica, 26 October 2020. As part of her tour of schools in Jamaica, the Minister of Education, Fayval Williams, met with Cuban teachers who teach at Seaforth Elementary School, in St. Thomas parish.
The Jamaican official expressed her gratitude to Cuban teachers for the ingenuity and versatility they have shown in the performance of their duties in a context marked by a complex epidemiological situation.
