House of Representatives of the Jamaican Parliament adopts a resolution against the blockade
Kingston, 25 October 2023. In an evening session and for the fifteenth consecutive year, the House of Representatives of the Jamaican Parliament adopted by consensus on Tuesday, October 24, a resolution condemning the US government's economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, and denouncing the inclusion of the island on the illegal list of countries that sponsor terrorism, tabled by the Honourable Alando Terrelonge, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. From Jamaica, voices of solidarity call for end to the blockade
Savanna-la-Mar, 21 October 2023. Convened by the Westmoreland chapter of the Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association (JCFA) an act of solidarity with our country took place. Present at the event were the Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, the Mayor of Westmoreland Mr. Bertel Moore, representatives of the solidarity movement, graduates from the island, Cuban residents, local authorities and collaborators of the medical and educational brigades working in this sister nation.
