Ambassador of Cuba receives leaders of the Marcus Garvey People's Political Party
Kingston, Jamaica, 22 April , 2022. This Thursday, Ambassador Fermín Quiñones received Miguel Lorne, leader of the Marcus Garvey People's Political Party (MGPPP) and other members of the board of directors of this political organization, at the diplomatic headquarters of Cuba.
The Cuban diplomat offered the visitors an update on the situation in Cuba, with emphasis on the country's post-Covid recovery and the harmful effects of the US government's blockade and imperialist aggression against the Cuban people.
Cuban Ambassador holds friendly meeting with Minister of Tourism of Jamaica
Kingston, Jamaica, 21 April 2022. Yesterday afternoon, the Cuban Ambassador Fermín Quiñones paid a courtesy visit to the honorable Edmund Bartlett, parliamentarian and Minister of Tourism of Jamaica.
Both parties agreed that tourism has faced severe challenges in recent years, as a result of climate change and more recently Covid 19, and highlighted the importance of building a sustainable and resilient tourism product, based on the natural and cultural strengths of each country.
