Jamaican press describes as commendable Cuba’s progress in the development of vaccines against COVID-19
Kingston, Jamaica, 31 March 2021. In an article entitled “A case for Cuban vaccines against COVID-19,” the Jamaican newspaper The Gleaner discussed in today’s edition the advances that Cuba has made in the vaccine research and development.
"This is a truly commendable achievement for Cuba, a small state that, among many, has four vaccines registered by the World Health Organization (WHO) in various stages of development," stated the Jamaican newspaper.
Jamaica's Movement in Solidarity with Cuba joins the international call against the blockade imposed on the island
Kingston, Jamaica, 28 March 2021.- The Jamaica Movement in Solidarity with Cuba joined the International Caravan that demands the end of the unjust economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba.
Mr. Trevor Brown, president of the Association, issued the following message on behalf of all Jamaicans in solidarity with the island.

Jamaica's Minister of Education praises Cuban cooperation in the sector
Kingston, Jamaica, 19 March 2021. The Honourable Fayval Williams, Minister of Education, Youth and Information of Jamaica, praised the cooperation that Cuba has provided to this country in the education sector for more than twenty years, during a virtual meeting she held with the Ambassador of Cuba, H.E Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández.
The Jamaican minister reviewed the main milestones associated with the work of Cuban teachers, who have contributed to education in thousands of schools in Jamaica.

Leaders of the People's National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO) visited this morning the headquarters of the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, and had a pleasant, profound exchange of opinions with H.E Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, Ambassador of the Greatest Island in the Antilles to this neighbouring Caribbean nation.
