Cuba says goodbye and pays tribute to painter Ernesto Rancaño
However real and unavoidable it may be, death is not a truth that is easily conceived. If it comes at the wrong time, mowing down a life in full effervescence, then it is frightening. Ernesto Rancaño was joined by an ailment that warned us of his soon farewell, an unacceptable idea.
It was hard to believe that, offering so much life, color and beauty, from a thrilling work of high stature, the artist could bid farewell to a world in need of human beings as transcendental.

Nairobi, February 21, 2022- The opening of the informal negotiations and the preparatory workshops of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA 5.2), took place in Kenya. The Fifth Open-Ended Commitee of the Permanent Representatives (OECPR 5.2) kicked off the event, which runs from February 21 to March 4, and will conclude with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
