The 40th Anniversary of the graduation of Laotian students in Cuba was celebrated in Vientiane

Vientiane August 19, 2023. The Embassy of Cuba in the Lao PDR, invited by the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association, attended the First Meeting of Graduate Students in the largest of the Caribbean Islands, during the years 1982-1984.

An appointment between former classmates and shared dreams, who relived moments of their adolescence, in which they expressed their infinite gratitude for the opportunity offered by the Cuban Revolution and its policy of cooperation with developing countries, in the formation of human capital.

Ambassador of Cuba visited the headquarters of the Lao Parliament

Vientiane August 16, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba Enna Viant Valdes, was received by Mr. Sanya Praseuth, president of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Lao National Assembly. Lao. Cuban Ambassador exchanges on the preparations for the G77 and China Summit, at the Lao Foreign Ministry

Vientiane August  14, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Enna Viant Valdes, was received at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Director General of the Department of Europe America, Mr. Khampheng Douangthongla, with whom she exchanged current information on the preparations for the Summit of the G77 and China, which will take place next September in Havana.

Global call to remove Cuba from the list of co-sponsors of terrorism

Vientiane August 11, 2023. Friends in Laos joined the urgent call to gather one million signatures, aimed at putting pressure on the United States government to review its arbitrary decision to remove Cuba from the list of state co-sponsors of terrorism.

Personalities such as Sommad Pholsena, President of the Lao Committee for Peace and Solidarity and leaders of the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association, were among those who expressed their unrestricted support.
