The Lao Foreign Ministry celebrates the advent of the traditional Lao New Year 2566

Vientiane April  7, 2023. The Embassy of Cuba participated together with the Diplomatic Corps accredited in this capital, in the celebration for the advent of the Lao New Year, or Pi Mai number 2566, which traditionally takes place between April 14 and 16.

The Vice President of the Lao Front receives the Cuban Ambassador

Vientiane April 6, 2023. Dr. Chanpheng  Southivong, Vice President of the Lao Front for National Development, FLDN, of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, received at the headquarters, the Ambassador of Cuba to that country, Hon. Enna Viant Valdes.

Dr. Southivong offered an overview of the fundamental tasks of the organization and expressed his willingness to continue expanding exchanges between counterpart organizations, with specific actions included in the current Memorandum of Understanding.

Ties are strengthened between the institutes of International Relations of Laos and Cuba

Vientiane April 5, 2023. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Raul Roa Garcia Higher Institute of International Relations  of the Republic of Cuba and the Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA) of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, was signed at the Foreign Ministry of this Southeast Asian country, which ceremony was headed by the Deputy Minister  H.E. Mr.  Thongphane Savanphet.

Cuba's advances in women's empowerment is exalted in Laos

Vientiane, Mar 8 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's progress in empowering women as agents of change and in eliminating the scourges that plague them, were highlighted here today by professors from the Lao National University.

In a meeting with the Cuban ambassador in Laos, Enna Viant, on the occasion of International Women's Day, professors from the Spanish department of that institution pointed out that overcoming gender discrimination in all its expression is a fully achievable goal. if accompanied by the necessary political will.
