The Cuban chief of mission Jorge León Cruz was present at the ceremony for the commemoration of the 211th anniversary of the signing of the Act of Independence of Venezuela, which took place in front of the bust of the Liberator of America, Simón Bolívar, on the main avenue of the municipality of Ghobeiry, in Beirut.

Cuban head of mission Jorge León Cruz was received by Ali Karanouh, head of the Department of International Affairs of the Directorate of Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic, to whom he handed over a note of thanks for the traditional coordination and support to Cuba in international forums.
The occasion was propitious to thank and confirm the historic support to the Caribbean island in its confrontation with the blockade.
