Declaration of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba
The Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba, committed to the solidarity and humanistic principles that have guided Cuba’s medical cooperation for 55 years, has been participating in the Program More Doctors for Brazil since its inception in August 2013. This initiative launched by Dilma Rousseff, who was at that moment the president of the Federal Republic of Brazil, pursued the double purpose of guaranteeing medical assistance to the majority of the Brazilian people, following the principle of universal health coverage promoted by the World Health Organization.
Mongolia interested in the Cuban experience in dealing with climate change.
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. November 7, 2018. The General Director of the Department of Climate Change and International Cooperation Mr. Batjargal Khandjav, of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, held a meeting at the Cuban Embassy in Mongolia with Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción, in which received information about the Cuban strategy of confronting climate change and its National Plan for mitigation and adaptation to this global problem.
Cuban Ambassador receives the President of the Mongolian Women’s Federation
Ulan Bator, November 6, 2018.- The President of the Mongolian Women’s Federation, OYUNGEREL Batnasan, along with other officials, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Ulan Bator where they had a pleasant meeting with the Cuban Ambassador.
The Cuban diplomat referred to the programs implemented by the Cuban Women Federation (FMC), aimed at achieving the full exercise of equality for women in all areas and levels of Cuban society as well as the possibility of establishing links and cooperation between both women's organizations.
