Cuba and Venezuela to celebrate historical dates linked to Independence.

Cuba has joined Venezuela in celebrating its 206th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the 55th anniversary of the Playa Girón´s Victory in Cuba, both on April 19th. A special ceremony was held at the Venezuelan Embassy where wreaths were laid by the Ambassadors of these sister nations, José Gómez and Francisco Fernández, accompanied by officers and officials of both diplomatic missions in Barbados.

Women receive tribute in their International Day

The Pan Africanist Coalition of Organizations (PACO), the Association of Barbados-Cuba Friendship and the embassies of Cuba and Venezuela in Barbados paid tribute to the woman in a simple but a lot of content activity, on March 8. During an evening in which anecdotes abounded, acknowledgments, art, also gave an interesting exchange of experiences on the struggle for equality for women in different countries.

Cuban and Barbadian to celebrate the 48th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

The 47thAnniversary of the Cuban Revolution and the 163rd Birth´s Anniversary of José Martí, National Hero, were held at the headquarters of the Clement Payne Chamber in a crowded political and cultural activity in which the Cuban Embassy and the Association of Cuban Residents "Martyrs of Barbados" shared with Barbadian friends from various social sectors an excellent evening, which political party had as featured speakers the President of the Barbados-Cuba Association of Friendship, David Denny, the President of the Clement Payne Movement, David Comissiong, and the Cuban Ambassador to Barb

Solidarity with Palestine in Barbados.

On the 68th Anniversary of the partition of Palestine by the United Nations, the "Caribbean against Apartheid in Palestine" [CAAP] group held a public meeting and showed a film at the Venezuelan Cultural Institute in Hastings, Barbados. In this activity, chaired by Peter Ashan, President of the CAAP, activists urged Barbados to follow the example of most member nations of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and recognize the State of Palestine. Among the attendees were the ambassadors of Cuba and Venezuela accredited in the country.

International Mother`s Day Celebration

Cuban mothers, Barbadians, Venezuelan, Brazilian and Colombian appointment at the headquarters of the Embassy of Cuba were given for the collective tribute to parents, spouses, children and friends, that special date. To enjoy good music performed live, delivering flowers symbolizing all its beauty and integrity; between songs, poems, dances, local food and anecdotes, which were interspersed with calls of congratulations from several points, he spent a joyful day of relaxation and fraternization that was enjoyed by all until arrival the night.

ALBA Embassies to celebrate March 8th in Barbados.

The International Women's Day was held in Barbados by the two embassies of ALBA-TCP countries, Venezuela and Cuba,  in a Sunday day of sport and recreation fraternization in which officials and workers of both diplomatic missions, in conjunction with members of the Cuban Community Residents participated in Barbados, dedicated to sharing with the genre that represents "the forge of life" and eternal companion of man in all his battles, without whose smile and no work effort is complete, as José Martí stated.
