Wellington, March 28. Former Disarmament Minister Matt Robson, an active member of solidarity with Cuba in New Zealand, visited the Cuban headquarters.
Robson shared his experiences on his recent trip to Cuba to participate in the event "For the Balance of the World" and spoke with the Ambassador about the impact of United States policy on the Cuban population.
Both commented on the international situation and future solidarity actions in favor of the right of Cubans to self-determination.
Cuban diplomats visited the city of New Plymouth.
New Plymouth, March 19. From March 17 to 19, Ambassador Edgardo Valdés and Consul Dalila Vázquez visited this city, to support the Cuban representation at the WOMAD festival and hold meetings with different personalities.
In addition to attending the presentations by Cimafunk and his group, they had a brief meeting with Vice Prime Minister Carmel Sepuloni, in charge of the official opening of the event.

New Plymouth, March 17. Cimafunk and his group successfully performed at the 20th edition of the World of Music and Dance Festival (WOMAD) in this city.
On the night of the 17th, they combined several songs with a Cuban cooking demonstration, at the end of which the audience enjoyed the tostones and shrimp broth prepared during the performance.
In the prime time on Saturday the 18th, they performed on the main stage, for thousands of fans who danced all the time to the rhythm of their songs.
On Sunday the 19th they repeated their success at night.
Cuban Festival begins in Rotorua.
Rotorua. March 10th. The "Aotearoa Cuban Festival" began in this city and will last until Sunday the 12th.
Workshops, presentations, and parties animate this festival, which is already a tradition and is widely accepted by the public.
Under the artistic direction of the Cuban dancer Greydis Montero, during the Festival, several instructors and groups of fans demonstrate their skills in Cuban and Afro-Cuban rhythms, learn about Cuban percussion and enjoy parties at night.

Wellington, March 5. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés and Consul Dalila Vázquez participated together with activists and union leaders in a public meeting against violence and discrimination for any reason, and in favor of women's rights.
In his speech, the Ambassador highlighted Cuba's achievements in this area and the challenges that still lie ahead.
