The African Union reiterates its firm rejection of the US blockade against Cuba and demands its exclusion from the list of state sponsors of terrorism

For the seventeenth consecutive time, the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union adopted a resolution condemning the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba, a policy that for more than six decades has profoundly affected the Cuban people and hindered their development.

Meeting with intellectual and political scientist Sandew Hira.

The Hague, February 5, 2026. Cuban Ambassador Eva Yelina Silva Walker held a meeting with intellectual and political scientist Sandew Hira. 

During a pleasant exchange, she highlighted the priority Cuba gives to international law and respect for the principles of the United Nations Charter. They exchanged perspectives on the complex international situation and highlighted the illegality of the oil embargo against the island.  

Donation from the Breast Prosthesis Foundation arrives in Cuba, destined for the province of Matanzas.

The Hague, February 3, 2026. The donation from the Dutch Breast Prosthesis Foundation for Alas por la Vida was gratefully received in the province of Matanzas.

The aim of this project is to provide women with emotional and material support to improve their quality of life and self-esteem, reduce stress, and educate them on self-care.

Among the items sent are external silicone prostheses, bras, wigs, and special swimsuits for these attachments.

Cuba condemns and denounces new escalation of US economic blockade.

The Revolutionary Government condemns in the strongest terms the new escalation by the US government against Cuba in its efforts to impose a total blockade on fuel supplies to our country.

The executive order issued by the US President on January 29, 2026, declares a supposed national emergency, under which his government will be able to impose trade tariffs on imports of products from countries that supply oil to Cuba.
