Monrovia, November 23, 2020 - The Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association exalted the figure of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, during a tribute to the fourth anniversary of his passage to immortality.

In the speeches of two of its members, they highlighted the validity of the legacy of humanism, solidarity and internationalism of the Commander in Chief.

The president of the Solidarity Association, Kesselee Kanneh, thanked Fidel Castro for teaching the world to think and demonstrating that another world is possible. He pointed out that his speeches were exceptional lessons that helped guide the masses, and referred to his willingness to always put the Cuban people and his country in first place by maintaining an unquestionable loyalty to Africa and its peoples.

For his part, William Wesseh, director of the solidarity group, referred to the validity of the Cuban leader's thought, his constant teaching and his unlimited dedication to the Cuban Revolution. He added that his ideas have impacted the world and continue to do so even after his departure for eternity.

The Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association condemned the genocidal blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba for more than 60 years and stressed that the resistance of the Cuban people to the U.S. blockade is another sign of their attachment to Fidel Castro's legacy.
