Harare, December 17, 2025 – Zimbabwe's main television network, ZBC, highlighted today Cuba's invitation to the 34th Havana International Book Fair (FILH 2026) with the Martí-inspired motto "Reading is growing."

The announcement, published on the English-language website, emphasized the intention to dedicate this important cultural event to the centenary of the birth of the historical leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, with Russia as the Guest of Honor.

The Cuban government has accused the United States of intensifying economic warfare against the island following the interception of an oil tanker by US military forces in the Caribbean Sea.

Awards for Cuban Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe on Latin American Medicine Day

Harare, December 1, 2025 – Members of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe, who have participated in several internationalist missions, were honored with high-level awards in a solemn and moving ceremony at the Cuban Embassy in Harare, on the occasion of Latin American Medicine Day.

In the presentation of these awards, the first time they have been given abroad, a doctor received the 50th Anniversary Seal of the National Union of Health Workers from Ambassador Susellys Pérez Mesa, in recognition of her outstanding and uninterrupted service spanning five decades.
