Cuba and Nigeria Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Abuja, February 23th, 2026.– The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, held a working meeting with Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, to brief him on the complex situation currently facing the Island following the tightening of coercive measures imposed by the Government of the United States, and to address pending issues on the bilateral agenda.

Ambassador Alina Aldama participated in the review of the Primary Health Care (PHC) brigade in Timor-Leste.

Cuba and Colombia Held Political Consultations and Migration Talks

Bogotá, February 20, 2026 – The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, headed the Cuban delegation that attended the Inter-Ministerial Political Consultations and the Fifth Round of Migration Talks with the Republic of Colombia. The Colombian delegation was led by Vice Ministers Juana Castro Santamaría and Mauricio Jaramillo Jassir, respectively.

Cuba and the Pacific: an exchange of gratitude and white coats in Fiji

The Cuban ambassador-designate to Fiji, Néstor Torres Olivera, held a fraternal exchange with young professionals from the Pacific who graduated from Cuban medical schools. The meeting strengthened ties with the alumni community who are now driving the healthcare systems of their respective islands after training under the principles of the Cuban medical school.
