Canberra, June 22, 2026. The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Australia, on behalf of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), awarded the ICAP 65th Anniversary Medal in posthumous tribute to María Hilario, a distinguished friend of Cuba and a staunch advocate of solidarity with our country.
Nicosia, Cyprus, December 22, 2025. Cuba’s ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, attended an event held in the Cypriot capital on Thursday, December 21, to mark Georgia’s Independence Day. At the ceremony, he was welcomed by the chargé d’affaires of the Georgian embassy in Nicosia, Her Excellency Ms. Marine Narchemashvili, and her diplomatic team.
Her Excellency Vasiliki Kassianidou, Cyprus’s Deputy Minister of Culture, delivered a welcome address on behalf of her government to mark Georgia’s National Day, in which she conveyed Cyprus’s official greetings, highlighted the positive bilateral relations between Georgia and the Mediterranean nation, and reiterated the congratulations shared by the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Nicosia who were present at the event.
Today, a film showcase dedicated to Cuba’s stories of solidarity was inaugurated at the Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center in Ankara, with the participation of the Ambassador of Cuba to Türkiye, Alejandro Díaz Palacios, Counselor Oscar Redondo Ramos, and the President of the Cuba–Türkiye Friendship Association, Nahide Özcan.
Cuban Ambassador to India participates in the BRICS SME Forum
The Ambassador of Cuba to India, Juan Carlos Marsan Aguilera, participated representing Cuba in the BRICS SME Forum, which took place on June 19 and 20, 2026, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Indian government, as part of its Pro Tempore Presidency program of the BRICS, with the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industries of India (ASSOCHAM) acting as co-organizer.

Johannesburg, 20 June 2026 — The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in South Africa, in collaboration with various solidarity organisations, presented the BreakThrough News documentary “Cuba after Castro” at The Forge (Johannesburg). The event was attended by more than 70 people and was received with great interest by the local community and representatives of solidarity organisations.The screening was followed by a wide-ranging debate on the true reality of Cuba, during which claims and prejudices spread by distorted media coverage against our country were debunked.
Within the framework of the Book Fair organized by the Kadıköy Municipality, Cuba's Consul General in Istanbul, Raúl E. Madrigal Cárdenas, participated in a discussion forum sponsored by Derleniş Yayınları Publishing House and the HKP Party, where various issues related to current developments in Cuba were addressed.
