Cuban Ambassador to Grenada, Yadirys Echenique Paz, was received by the Honorable Joseph Andall, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development of Grenada, with whom she held a working meeting.
During the meeting, in which various bilateral issues of common interest were addressed, both parties highlighted the positive state of bilateral relations and expressed their interest in continuing to strengthen cooperation in different areas.
Officials from the Embassy of Cuba in Washington, D.C., led by Deputy Chief of Mission Tanieris Diéguez, delivered a lecture on the Helms-Burton Act at Howard University School of Law.
The event focused on the impact of this legislation, addressing bilateral relations between Cuba and the United States in dialogue with the students. This session was designed to offer students a legal and diplomatic perspective on the Act.

Archbishop Charles Jason Gordon, president of the Antilles Episcopal Conference, held a meeting with the Cuban ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Gustavo Véliz Olivares, at the headquarters of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain. During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on the current situation in Cuba, with emphasis on the impact of the energy blockade and its repercussions on the daily life of the population.
A meeting was held at the Cuban Embassy in Grenada between officials from the diplomatic mission and members of the Committee of Graduates in Cuba, led by Ambassador Yadirys Echenique Paz, Consul Ariel Pazos Ortiz, and the Committee’s coordinator, Malachy Dottin.
During the meeting, the diplomatic officials provided a detailed briefing on Cuba’s current situation to the former students in attendance, who expressed their concern over the latest escalation in U.S. hostility toward the largest island in the Caribbean.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the current state of bilateral relations, highlighting the friendly nature and mutual respect that characterize them. They also discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in areas of common interest.

The U.S publicly threatens Cuba, almost daily, with overthrowing the constitutional order by force. And it uses an outrageous pretext: the severe constraints of the weakened economy that they have attacked and sought to isolate for more than six decades.
They intend to and announce plans to take over the country, its resources, its properties, and even the very economy they seek to suffocate in order to force us to surrender.
