Honour to whom honour is due.

Kingston, 17 September 2025. In a private and emotional ceremony held at the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, the Medal of Friendship was presented to the Honourable Portia Simpson Miller, former Prime Minister of Jamaica.

Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez presented the award, approved by Presidential Decree at the proposal of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), to her husband, Mr. Errald Miller.

Cuba's latest report on the impact of the blockade published

On 17 September, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla presented Cuba's annual report on the damage caused by the blockade. The report has been published in advance of United Nations General Assembly Resolution 79/7, titled “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba", which will be considered on October 28 and 29.

Minister Oryem, Cuban Envoy Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and October NAM Summit

On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs), Hon. Okello Oryem, held a meeting with Ambassador Juan Humberto Macias Pino, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba, where the two discussed bilateral issues of mutual interest between the two countries.

Cuba attends reception for Guatemala's National Day

Canberra, 17 September 2025 – The Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Australia, Ivianes González Llanes, attended the official reception organized by the Guatemalan Embassy in Canberra to celebrate its National Day.

The reception was attended by Australian authorities, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Canberra, and representatives of the Guatemalan community in Australia.

The official conveyed Cuba's willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations between both countries.

Cuba participates in the Forum of Women Political Leaders at the 46th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary General Assembly (AIPA).

Zanu-PF Political Bureau Member announces participation in Party events in Cuba

Harare, September 17, 2025 – Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) Political Bureau Member Ishmael Mada announced today his upcoming visit to Cuba to participate in the Third Meeting of Left-Wing Theoretical Publications in October.

During a cordial meeting with the Cuban Ambassador, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, the Director of the Zanu-PF School of Ideology, Chitepo, confirmed that he will also attend the Granma Rebelde Festival, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the newspapers founded by the Historic Leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro.

Minister of CITMA holds meeting with Director General of IAEA

Vienna, September 16. The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi, received the Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment, Armando Rodríguez Batista, who heads the Cuban delegation to the 69th IAEA General Conference.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the excellent state of relations between the International Organization and Cuba, and exchanged views on the successful implementation of technical cooperation projects and the potential for strengthening them.
