Nassau, December 23rd, 2019. The ambassador of Cuba, Alejandro García del Toro, met with Catherine E. Weech, managing director of the Public Hospitals Authority of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas (PHA), in the headquarter of that organization. The Cuban diplomat and the high ranking official of the Bahamian sanitary authorities highlighted the utility and effectiveness that Cuban pharmacists have done in the Princess Margaret´s Hospital in this capital.

60 YEARS AF REVOLUTIONARY DIPLOMACY

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba celebrates 60 years of the inception of the new revolutionary diplomacy.

These are six vibrant decades of hard work in order to give Cuba the opportunity to be active part in the international assembly of nations.  The diplomacy of Cuba forged new relations with the vast majority of the countries of the world and participates in the multilateral dinamics as important actor within the countries of the Third World.    

President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, H.E. Mr. Emmerson Mnangagwa, sends a congratulatory message to his Cuban counterpart on the 61st anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

Harare, December 23, 2019. The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, H.E. Mr. Emmerson Mnangagwa sent a letter to his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in which he congratulates the Cuban government and people on the 61st anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.

In the letter, the Zimbabwean president highlighted the strong ties of friendship between the two nations and valued the island's support for achieving the independence of his country.

Cuba congratulates Ghana on the 60th Anniversary of the diplomatic relations

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent congratulations to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E, Mr. Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo, on the occasion of the arrival of the 60th Anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Ghana and Cuba.

In the same vein, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Mrs. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.

Cuba and Ghana established diplomatic relations on 23rd December, 1959.

Cuba's diplomacy is based on its people and the Revolution

Havana, December 23, 2019. President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel stated on Monday that Cuban diplomacy has the people as its main protagonist and is a reflection of the principles of the Revolution.

At the very heart of this institution are the ideas of Cuban National Hero, Jose Marti, the Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro, and the unforgettable Foreign Minister Raul Roa, stressed Diaz-Canel on addressing the political and cultural gala to mark the 60th anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX).

Havana, December 23, 2019. Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today congratulated workers and diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex) on the 60th anniversary of the creation of that agency.

"Congratulations to our worthy diplomats, the workers of #CubaMinrex and the Cuban people for building, making, defending and exalting our foreign policy on the 60th anniversary of MINREX," the president posted on Twitter.

The President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz - Canel Bermúdez, proposed to the National Assembly of People's Power and was approved, to appoint Manuel Marrero Cruz as a Prime Minister, who served as Tourism Minister for 16 years. The 56-year-old deputy is an architect and he was an investor of tourist facilities in the north of Holguin, and held different positions in the direction of hotels in the eastern provinces and in Varadero.
