Cuban Ambassador visits the cities of Salt Lake and Provo, Utah “Building bridges”

The Cuban Ambassador to the United States, José R. Cabañas, visited Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah, on October 22-23, 2019 following an invitation extended by the President of the Brigham Young University, Mr. Kevin J. Worthen, to attend an Ambassadorial Program hosted by this academic institution. The Ambassador was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Edlia González, and by Third Secretary Yanet Pumariega.

Cuban President congratulates the Ethiopian Prime Minister on the Nobel Peace Prize

Addis Ababa, 22 October 2019.  The President of the Republic of Cuba, H.E, Mr. Miguel Díaz-Canel Bemúdez congratulated the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia for been the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize winner.  The message highlighted the importance of this recognition as  a contribution to the African efforts to build peace in the continent.

Before Prime Minister Abiy, other African personalities were awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize.   

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia reiterates to the Cuban Ambassador the willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations

Zagreb, 23 October, 2019. The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, His Excellency Mr. Gordan Grlić Radman, received today the Ambassador of Cuba to that European country, His Excellency Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, at the headquarters of the Ministry.

The Palestinian cause has been a top priority issue for the Non-Aligned Movement, which should redouble its efforts in support of the realization of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, which have been violated throughout more than seven decades of occupation.

Meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce

The Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt Tania Aguiar Fernández and the Counselor Dennis Casares Benítez held a meeting with Ibrahim Mahmoud Elaraby, President of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Sameh Moustafa Zaki, Vice President, Ayman Greisha, President of the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Abdel M. Fathalla, Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, where they discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the commercial sphere between Cuba and Egypt.

THE ASSOCIATION OF CUBANS, RESIDENTS IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES, RESOLUTELY REJECTS THE BLOCKADE OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST CUBA.

Within the framework of the activity of solidarity with Cuba, celebrated in homage to the Day of Cuban Culture, Arianna Taylor Israel, President of the Association of Cubans, Residents in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, read a combative Declaration rejecting the US blockade against Cuba and its intensification during the administration of the President Donald Trump.

October 20th is for Cubans a transcendental date in the history of liberation.

WITH MASSIVE ACTIVITY OF SOLIDARITY, THE CUBAN NATIONAL CULTURE DAY WAS CELEBRATED IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

With a massive political and cultural evening, led by the former Vincentian Ambassador to Cuba, Mr. Dexter Rose and organized by the Association of Vincentians graduated in Cuba, the Friendship Association of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines/Cuba, the Association of Cubans Residents in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, in collaboration with the Cuban Embassy, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, once again, expressed its solidarity with Cuba, at a time when the U.S. blockade against the largest of the Antilles is intensifying.
