The Havana that they are living

Cambodians of several generations gathered to commemorate together the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Havana, a city that has welcomed students from different latitudes for decades, an expression of the solidarity vocation of the Cuban Revolution, despite the US blockade. Although many of the attendees studied in provinces such as Pinar del Río, Villa Clara or Santiago de Cuba, they retain beautiful memories of their passage through the capital of all Cubans.

Documentary about Fidel is screened at the University of Ghana

Cuba's ambassador to Ghana, Pedro L. Despaigne González made the presentation of the documentary "Anecdotes about Fidel" at the University of Ghana.

The screening of the documentary, made by the film director Estela Bravo, was part of the collaboration of the Cuban embassy in Ghana with the Ibero-American Film Series organized by the Hispanic Club of the University of Ghana.

Cuba's first historic participation at the Thai Silk international fashion week (Bangkok, Thailand, 18-22/11/2019) took place on Monday, November 18th, 2019.

Renowned Cuban fashion designer Oscar de la Portilla unveiled a very special collection with painted fabrics using a hand-stamped technique. The designer's art portrayed an excellent piece of Cuban Culture, inspired in the Thai National Flower and Cuba's typical decorations to showcase the longstanding friendship between the two countries.

Al Bader, General Director of the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development, who traveled to our country at the head of a delegation of said Fund to participate in activities for the 500th Anniversary of Havana.

Information from the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba

The government of the Republic of Ecuador informed the decision to terminate and not renew the six agreements signed with the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba.

The Cuban medical cooperation in Ecuador began in 1992. In June 2006 the cooperation agreement was signed for the start of the “Operation Miracle”, with the participation of 153 employees. Through this program 168 thousand 543 surgical interventions were carried out, including 4 thousand 609 cataracts and 118 thousand 575 pterygium.

During the last few hours, several acting authorities in the Plurinational State of Bolivia have presented the idea that Cuban collaborators are encouraging protests taking place in Bolivia, along with a similar campaign on social media, through accounts of doubtful origin and false profiles, inciting violence against health personnel.
